Description
The Caruba Reverse Adapter Macro Coupler 52mm-58mm is designed to allow you to attach a second lens to the original lens in reverse. This technique is used in macro photography for obtaining high-quality macro images with high resolution and sharpness. Macro photography can be achieved by mounting a lens in reverse on the standard mounted lens. You just screw the macro coupler adapter ring into the filter thread of both lenses.
The magnification factor is calculated by dividing the focal length of the normally mounted lens by the focal length of the inverted lens. For example, when a 18mm lens is mounted in reverse on a 300mm lens, the magnification factor is 16:1. The use of automatic focus is not recommended if the first lens is not of the internal-focus type, because the extra weight of the reverse-mounted lens can cause damage to the autofocus mechanism. The working distance is considerably less than normal.
